Pet of Week: Hazel

Dec. 24, 2014: Hazel is a lovely, young orange-and-white female kitty who is looking for a new home for the holidays.
She showed up for feeding time at a local cat colony, and a volunteer noticed that she had a tattered and very tight pink collar around her neck. Obviously and unfortunately, she had once been somebody's pet, but clearly much time had passed since she had been home.
Maybe she was tossed out, maybe she was lost, but no notifications had come through the shelters or rescue groups looking for her. Sadly, she was forced to fend for herself but was, thankfully, smart enough to find a place where food was dispensed regularly at one of the many local stray cat colonies.
Hazel is super sweet with a lovely and loud purr. She enjoys being held and is very calm and gentle. This well-socialized girl is currently residing in a foster home with children, cats, and dogs and would do well in almost any type of living situation. She is only hoping for a second chance to be loved.
