Pet of the Week: Ling

Mar. 9, 2016: Ling is a four-month-old short-hair satin and lop-eared bunny who is looking for a home to call his own.
Both Ling and his brother Paul came from an overcrowded shelter. They were originally dropped off by a man who had two adult rabbits that bred. The owner has since spayed and neutered the parents but was not able to keep the two additional babies.
Paul has been adopted, and now this sweet chocolate-colored furball hopes that he, too, can find someone to love him. Rabbits are by nature clean animals that can easily be litter-box trained. The lifespan of this breed can be anywhere from five to ten years.
Ling is in excellent health and has been neutered. He is ready for immediate adoption and you can visit him today at the Humane Society of Westchester (the former New Rochelle Humane Society).
The shelter is at 70 Portman Avenue in New Rochelle, which is just ten minutes from Bronxville. It is open seven days a week from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm except Thursdays, when it is open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
