Pet of the Week: Anna

Jun. 8, 2016: If you are looking for a pet that thoroughly enjoys being a part of the family, Anna is your girl.
This beautiful and unique four-year-old kitty found herself living in an animal shelter after her family fell on financial hard times and could no longer care for her. She was recently transferred from the shelter into a foster home and her true personality is now shining through. Her foster family reports that she is just like a little dog. She will follow people around the house and is always up for a cuddle.
Anna is a medium-sized, healthy, black-and-white domestic long-hair. She is extremely friendly and litter-box trained. In her former home, she lived with another kitty and got along with most of the cats she met when living at the shelter.
You can visit Anna today at the Humane Society of Westchester (the former New Rochelle Humane Society). The shelter is at 70 Portman Avenue in New Rochelle, which is just 10 minutes from Bronxville. It is open every day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm except Thursdays, when it is open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. No appointment is needed.
Cat adoptions include spay/neuter, feline FIV/leukemia test, age-appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, micro-chip implant and registration, Science Diet cat food, cat carrier, and a follow-up veterinary exam.
