Pet of the Week: Jade

Jul. 13, 2016: It doesn't get cuter than Jade. This twelve-pound four-year-old darling was about to be surrendered to the Yonkers Animal Shelter. When volunteers got wind of her situation, they were able to place her in a foster home until a new owner could be found.
Jade was purchased from a puppy store and the papers provided stated that she is a Yorkie-poo; however, as you can see from her picture, there doesn't seem to be much "poo" (aka poodle) in her.
According to the previous owner, she gets along well with children and also with other dogs. She has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. No other information about her was given.

She is currently being fostered locally and it was explained that interested homes should not contact the Yonkers shelter since she is not currently residing there and they won't know who she is and won't be able to arrange a meeting. Jade is ready for immediate adoption.
