Pet of the Week: Munchkin

Aug. 17, 2016: Munchkin makes quite the impression when you meet him. Not only will his adorable face and piercing eyes make your heart skip a beat, he will welcome you openly with his warm meows.
This medium-sized domestic shorthair is only 10 months old and full of kittenish antics. He rolls around with delight when you pet him and paws the air to show you his happiness. He will even slip a kiss in when he is overcome with joy.
Munchkin is gentle, friendly, and ready to be a part of a family. He is healthy, neutered, and vaccinated and he tested negative for FIV/feline leukemia. He is under the care of the rescue group Bobbi and the Strays and is currently residing at their Long Island adoption center at 2 Rider Place in Freeport.
The shelter is open Saturday through Tuesday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm; Thursday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm; and Friday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. This group has many dogs and cats available for adoption, and they can be found on their website; there is a second adoption center in Queens.
