Oct. 30, 2019: Five-month-old Dax was found living with his litter-mates in a backyard in Port Chester. The owner of the home was feeding them until she could find a rescue group to take them in.
Last week, they found safety through Pet Rescue, and Dax is now living comfortably in a foster home with children, two other cats, a dog, and a bunny. He adores every one of them and is going to make a wonderful addition to some lucky family.
His foster mom describes Dax as "super chill and a purring machine" and the pet rescue volunteers say he is "fantastic and an absolute winner." This adorable little man was born without a tail, which gives this tabby a sweet and unique look. Fun fact: The English term tabby originates from the translation of the French phrase "striped silk taffeta."
Dax is one smart fellow. He is gentle, litter-box trained, and has displayed excellent manners for being such a wee little thing. He is in perfect health, has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date with his vaccinations.
Just in time for the start of the holidays, Dax will help make any house a home. For more information, please visit, NY-PetRescue.org
