Looking for a Fun Outing for the Kids?

By Staff

June 4, 2025:  When I think about fun outings with young children, I don't usually think about visiting a corporate headquarters, so when years ago a friend suggested I take my three toddlers to the Pepsico headquarters in Purchase, New York, I was a bit puzzled. But this friend is very reliable for good recommendations so I tried it, and it was fantastic. We went back many times.

The 144-acre Pepsico complex includes a beautiful sculpture garden which features works by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Juan Miro, Arnaldo Pomodoro, and many other world-class artists.

Adults enjoy the opportunity to see these works in their beautiful surroundings and surprisingly, children enjoy them as well.  The gardens also have lovely walking paths.

The gardens are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends now through November 16, as well as Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (September 1), and Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day (October 13). Biking, skating, ball playing, picnicking and dogs are not permitted.

It makes for a fun and different day! Give it a try. You'll love it.

To confirm the gardens are open and get answers to any additional questions that you might have, call 914-253-3500 before your arrival.
