Kids Can Cook Up Something Fun this Summer at The Chapel School

By Kim Zwisdak, Development Office, Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School

Apr. 29, 2015:  This summer The Chapel School Explorer Camp will offer two options for young budding chefs:  The Kids 'R Cookin' Camp and Baking with Mrs. Price.

The Kids 'R Cookin' camp is for budding chefs ages seven to twelve and runs from July 6 to July 10, 9:00 am to noon. Students will have a unique opportunity to express their love of cooking while having lots of fun exploring a variety of foods to prepare and cook. Some items might include stuffed French toast, enchiladas, fruit pies, and fresh spaghetti and meatballs. Also taught are basic food safety, utensil use, and the fundamentals of cooking fresh, healthy, and delicious recipes!

If your child is more of a baker, there will also be Baking with Mrs. Price. This camp is for budding bakers ages nine through twelve. It will run from July 20 to 24, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Campers will bake easy desserts and breads that will have their friends thinking they slaved in the kitchen for hours. They will learn to make delicious baked treats including Linzer tortes, bagels, chocolate walnut coffee (decaf) muffins, and more.

The Chapel School is at 172 White Plains Road.  For more information about The Chapel School Summer Programs, please call 914-337-3202, ext. 1030, or visit www.thechapelschool.org.
