Bronxville School Artwork is on Display in the Village: See Photos & Event Schedule

By the Bronxville School PTA Arts Council

March 13, 2024: The Bronxville School PTA Arts Council is thrilled to announce and invite the community to the annual arts event Spring Into the Arts is taking place now through Sunday, March 17.

The festivities kicked off at The Picture House Bronxville on Monday, March 4 with an Opening Reception to celebrate the Bronxville School’s fine arts students and teachers, followed by an Open Mic Night hosted by the Bronxville High School Arts Society featuring talented performing arts high school students.

During these two weeks we are celebrating our Bronxville School student artists with art installations on display in shops throughout the village. The framed artwork has been selected by the Bronxville School Art Department faculty, who has curated the installations.

Kids of all ages can join in the fun with an “Art Scavenger Hunt” also through March 17.  Ovder and Framebridge are handing out the scavenger hunt and art stroll maps.  Candy Rox is donating scavenger hunt prizes to all the children that finish.

Spring Into the Arts is a collaboration between the Bronxville School Fine Arts Department, Bronxville High School Arts Society, Bronxville PTA Arts Council, and Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.

This wonderful event started in 2020 to bring our Bronxville community together to recognize and celebrate the arts.  We encourage everyone to visit our lovely downtown to witness the talents and dedication of our amazing students and teachers and to enjoy some spring shopping!

Bronxville Public Library
Bronxville Public Library

The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.

The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.

The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children. All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
