November 14, 2020. 7 pm: The Hoch Chamber Music Series opens its 18th season this Saturday evening with a performance by the acclaimed Emerson String Quartet. The concert will be held virtually this year via Zoom. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get cozy, gather with family and friends, pour a glass of wine and let the music inspire. November 15, 2020, 11 am to 3 pm: Christ Church, Bronxville (17 Sagamore Road), will host its Third Sunday Food Drive for the benefit of Grace Church, White Plains. Please share generously from the following list:
14-16 oz. cans of corn, peas, green beans, black beans or mixed vegetables
14-16 oz. cans of fruit
1 pound packages of pasta or rice
10-12 oz boxes of LOW SUGARED cereal (Cheerios, Special K, etc.)
Macaroni & Cheese
Shelf Stabilized Milk
Canned tuna fish, chicken, Vienna sausages, NON-GLASS jars of peanut butter and/or jelly

November 18, 11 am to noon: Smoking Tobacco: Why it is Still Important to Kick the Habit. Free Virtual Health Presentation Join Dr. Karyi Coyle, a board-certified pulmonologist with NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester for an interactive virtual presentation on the risks of inhaling tobacco including using instruments like E-cigarettes, Hookahs and vaping devices. Dr. Coyle will outline steps for how to stop smoking and the health benefits of quitting. The presentation will also cover different cessation strategies including medication, behavioral therapy, acupuncture and hypnosis. This presentation is appropriate for parents, caregivers, seniors and anyone else who needs to stop smoking or vaping.
