Bronxville Police Blotter: January 8 to January 13, 2014

Wednesday, January 8: At 11:34 am a 59-year-old male Bronxville resident reported that an M&T bank account was opened in his name without permission. No transactions were made with the account prior to its discovery.
Saturday, January 11: At 4:33 pm at The Bronxville School, Police Officer Christopher Blessington arrested a 17-year-old male Mount Vernon resident and charged him with criminal mischief in the fourth degree for intentionally breaking the glasses of a school security guard after being asked by the guard to cease activities on the football field without a permit. The 17-year-old was released to his mother on $250.00 bail pending his next court appearance.
Monday, January 13: At 4:34 pm at the Yum Yum Tree, a store located at 96 Pondfield Road, Police Officers Paul Cavallo and Christopher Blessington arrested a 20-year-old Bronx resident and charged her with petit larceny after an employee observed her stealing a Vince cashmere sweater valued at $345.00. The employee was able to provide officers with a good description within a minute of the crime and officers located the woman in front of Starbucks shortly after. The officers also recovered the stolen property from the shelf of the Bronxville Stationery Store where she had stashed it to avoid detection. She was released on $250.00 bail pending her next court appearance.
