Bronxville Police Blotter: July 5 to July 18, 2014

Saturday, July 5: At 12:08 pm a resident of Grove Lane reported that a 2014 Mercedes was entered overnight. $50 cash and an E-Z Pass were stolen. No signs of forced entry.
Sunday, July 6: At 10:08 am police officers discovered an open rear door on Elm Rock Road while performing a routine dark house list check. All appeared to be in order.
Monday, July 7: At 5:10 pm a resident of Stoneleigh Plaza reported that a van passenger window was broken overnight. A $300 saw, $500 worth of various tools, and a $60 box of staples were stolen.
Tuesday, July 8: At 12:04 pm it was reported that at 6 Cedar Street (Hunan III) a decorative floral arrangement valued at $30 was stolen from the business window.
Thursday, July 10: At 5:26 pm 42-year-old William Cortez of Yonkers was issued a citation on Midland Avenue for driving without a license and having an uninspected vehicle. The 1998 Nissan he was operating was impounded. Cortez was released on the scene pending his court date on July 23, 2014.
Wednesday, July 16: At 2:09 am on Kraft Avenue officers responded to a fare dispute between a cab driver and a female passenger. The passenger agreed to pay the fare without police involvement.
Thursday, July 17: At 11:53 am on Hemlock Road a homeowner reported that two Apple MacBook laptop computers and an Apple iPad were stolen from their residence. The incident is being investigated by detectives.
Thursday, July 17: At 12:22 pm a resident of Hawthorne Road reported that a 2007 Toyota Camry was entered overnight. A computer hard drive of unknown value was stolen. No signs of forced entry.
Friday, July 18: At 10:23 am 25-year-old Sharod Wilkins of Mount Vernon was arrested on Sagamore Road by police officer Michael Lewis for driving with a suspended license (failure to answer a summons from Mount Vernon). Wilkins was stopped for a license plate reader notification indicating that the registration on the 2002 Nissan Altima he was operating was suspended due to an insurance lapse. The vehicle was impounded. Wilkins was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree and suspended registration (both misdemeanors). Wilkins was released on $200 bail pending his next court appearance.
