Children's Room at Bronxville Library Closed September 6 to September 14

Sep. 3, 2014: The children's room at the Bronxville Public Library will be closed beginning Saturday, September 6, for a painting project. In addition to walls and ceilings, painted book shelves will receive a fresh coat of paint. Shelving with natural wood finishes will not be painted.
Erin Schirota, head of youth services, said, "We're making every effort to keep the children's room as inviting as the books are!"
Library users will be happy to learn that the paint colors will remain the same. The children's room will reopen on Monday, September 15, at 9:30 am. During the painting project, a "pop-up" children's library will be set up in the young adult room with selections for every reading level.
Children who come to the library between Tuesday, September 2 (the day after Labor Day), and Friday, September 5, will receive an incentive for "planning ahead" in anticipation of the closing. For every five books a child takes out, he or she will receive a "first day of school" photo card.
