Thursday, Sept. 4: A Garmin GPS valued at $400 was reported stolen from a vehicle on Pine Terrace Road. There were no signs of forced entry.
Friday, Sept. 5: A 37-year-old named Trelane Martinez of Mount Vernon was arrested on Palmer Road at 6:47 pm by police officer Dave Dibenedetto and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after being stopped for an inadequate headlamp. The 2009 Ford Crown Victoria operated by Martinez was impounded. Martinez was processed on the scene and ordered to appear before the Bronxville Village Court at a later date.
Friday, Sept. 12: A 42-year-old Bronxville woman was bitten on her right calf muscle by a dog on Meadow Avenue at 4:26 pm that was being walked by a 55-year-old Bronxville woman. The victim refused medical attention at the scene. Police officers verified the dog's vaccination and license record.
Monday, Sept. 22: A 52-year-old female Bronxville resident reported that her date of birth and Social Security number were used to open a line of credit in her name and that $190 was debited to the account before she discovered the theft.
Thursday, Sept. 25: A 69-year-old male resident reported that a credit card was opened in his name without his authorization. Before the theft was discovered, $169 was debited from the account.
Friday, Sept. 26: A 41-year-old named Jermaine Powell of Mount Vernon was arrested on Pondfield Road by Police Officer Cheryl Jarosz and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after being alerted by a license plate reader alarm indicating that the registration belonging to the 2006 Infiniti GX35 operated by Powell was suspended for an insurance lapse. The Infiniti was impounded. Powell, who had 27 suspensions listed against his license, was processed and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree. Powell was released on $500 bail and ordered to appear before the Bronxville Village Court on October 15, 2014.
Sunday, Sept. 28: At 10:33 am 19-year-old Ernesto Hernandez of New Rochelle was arrested by Police Officer Christopher Blessington and charged with petit larceny for stealing a cell phone valued at $400. Hernandez allegedly stole the cell phone from a patron at J.C. Fogarty's on the evening of September 26, 2014, and took a selfie, which uploaded to the victim's iCloud storage automatically. Hernandez was later identified by Officer Blessington using the selfie. Hernandez was released on $150 bail and ordered to appear before the Bronxville Village Court.
