Theresa Nicholson Sworn in as New Eastchester Town Councilwoman

Nov. 26, 2014: On Tuesday, November 18, Theresa Nicholson was sworn in as the new Eastchester town councilwoman filling the unexpired term of Fred Salanitro.
Nicholson is a lifelong resident of Eastchester and is very involved in the community. She is a member of the Eastchester Environmental Committee and the Wilmont Manor Civic Association. She coaches in the Eastchester Instructional Basketball League (EIBL) and has been a Girl Scout leader for many years.
"Being a councilwoman will give me a greater opportunity to serve my town at a whole new and exciting level," Nicholson said in her acceptance speech. She added, "I am looking forward to utilizing my thirty years of professional accounting experience and budgeting expertise to help keep costs down while maintaining a high quality of service that residents expect to receive here in Eastchester."
Supervisor Colavita and the town board welcomed Nicholson at the swearing-in ceremony. Supervisor Colavita said, "We are delighted that Theresa Nicholson has joined the town board. Her significant community involvement and professional accounting expertise will be an asset to our board. She will help us to continue making Eastchester a great place to live and raise a family." This feeling was reiterated by the other town board members as well.
