Dec. 17, 2014: The eighth annual Katie Welling Memorial Run, sponsored by The Bronxville School Foundation, took place on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
Despite the cold weather, more than 350 eager participants came out to honor Katie Welling, who embodied the strength and friendship of our community.
Hugs, laughter, and good feelings radiated throughout the event. The run has become an important community Thanksgiving tradition by which to remember Katie.
Since 2006, the Katie Welling Memorial Run has raised over $100,000. The proceeds from the run are used by the foundation to support exciting new programs at The Bronxville School, where Katie spent so many happy years.
The foundation is grateful to the race supporters and, in particular, the local businesses who supported this event: The Bronxville Police Department, the Bronxville Running Company, Park Place Bagels, Lange's, J & G Deli, and Mrs. Morgan's.
