May 16, 2018: The entries below are selections from the Bronxville police blotter.
Monday, May 7, 8:44 am, Tanglewylde Ave.: There was a two-vehicle accident. One female passenger was taken to the hospital via EVAC as a precaution due to her pregnancy. An accident report was completed.
Monday, May 7, 10:00 am, Elm Rock: Officers responded to a complaint of an open front door. An appraiser was doing work at the location.
Monday, May 7, 10:37 pm, Parkway Road: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
Tuesday, May 8, 12:05 pm, Upper Milburn: An employee of a moving company reported that his iPad 3rd Gen valued at $499 had been stolen from the cab of his truck while he was working on Parkway Road.
Tuesday, May 8, 1:10 pm, White Plains Road: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
Tuesday, May 8, 03:00 pm, Pondfield Road: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
Wednesday, May 9, 12:58 am: A male was arrested after a physical altercation with a family member.
Wednesday, May 9, 2:00 pm, Bronxville Library: An unknown male reportedly was acting in a strange manner inside the library and threw a business card at an employee before leaving.
Wednesday, May 9, 5:46 pm, Sagamore Road: A 61-year-old woman from Bronxville was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree after she was stopped for failing to obey a traffic control device and an inquiry on her license showed that she had at least 3 active suspensions for failure to answer tickets. She was released after posting $100 cash bail. She is due to appear in court.
Thursday, May 10, 3:28 am, Vine Street: Officers responded to a complaint of a group of youths ringing doorbells and throwing debris in the roadway. The group was located on Beechwood Road where they ran from the police. The group also set fire to two bags of leaves on Beechwood Road. The incidents are being investigated.
Thursday, May 10, 2:41 pm, Garden Avenue: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
Friday, May 12, 7:52 pm, Palmer Road: A 43-year-old man from Pleasantville was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree after a license plate reader alarm indicated to the officer that his vehicle’s registration certificate was suspended for outstanding parking violations. The 2005 Volkswagen Touareg was impounded. The man was processed on scene and released pending his next court appearance.
Saturday, May 13, 11:45 am, Midland Avenue: A 38-year-old man from Yonkers was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree after he was stopped for inadequate brake lamps, and an inquiry of his license showed that it was suspended for failing to answer a summons in the City of Mount Vernon. The man was also charged with Suspended Registration. The 2004 Infinity G35 he was operating was impounded. He was released pending his next court appearance after posting $100 bail.
Saturday, May 13, 6:07 pm, Kensington Garage: A vehicle owner reported that he had parked in the garage and returned to find his front driver side bumper damaged. Officers reviewed village surveillance cameras and were able to observe the incident and the offending vehicle leave the scene. A license plate number was obtained via the video and citations are pending.
