May 30, 2018: The entries below are selections from the Bronxville police blotter.
May 21, 7:45 pm, Paxton Avenue: A 27-year-old woman from Yonkers was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and Suspended Registration, both misdemeanors, after she was stopped when a vehicle-mounted license-plate reader alarm indicated that her registration was suspended for insurance not in effect. She was processed on scene and released pending her next court appearance.
May 22, 9:55 am, Tanglewylde Ave: A boot was affixed to a vehicle rendering it immobilized due to $250 in outstanding parking fines. The vehicle was released later in the day after the fines were satisfied.
May 24, 12:05 am: Officers responded to a call of a verbal domestic dispute. A domestic incident report was completed. No crime was committed.
May 24, 3:04 pm, Pondfield Road: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
May 24, 4:32 pm, Cedar Street ACME Lot: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
May 25, 3:27 am, Pondfield Road: A 21-year-old man from Bronxville was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree. Officers responded to a 911 call from a male victim alleging that the man had struck him in the face. The man was processed and released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance.
May 25, 9:41 am, Kraft Avenue: A boot was affixed to a vehicle rendering it immobilized due to $300 in outstanding parking fines. The vehicle was released later in the day after the fines were satisfied.
May 25, 1:55 pm, Pondfield Road: A boot was affixed to a vehicle rendering it immobilized due to $600 in outstanding parking fines. The vehicle was released later in the day after the fines were satisfied.
May 26, 5:47 am, Locust Lane: While performing routine patrol, Officer Dennis Karaman recovered a purse on the side of the road. The owner was located and it was determined that the purse had been stolen from an unlocked car in the City of Mount Vernon overnight.
May 27, 12:41 pm, Depot Plaza: Officers were able to quell an argument between a motorist and a taxi stand employee after a motorist parked in the taxi-only parking area and refused to leave. No crime was committed. The motorist left the area of his own accord and was warned and admonished for his parking violation
May 27, 2:41 pm, Gramatan Avenue: A 32-year-old woman from Mount Vernon was charged with Suspended Registration (misdemeanor) after she was stopped for tinted windows and an inquiry on her registration showed that it was suspended for insurance not in effect. The woman was also cited for No Insurance and the Tinted Windows. She was processed and released on scene pending her next court appearance. Her 2013 Nissan Sentra was impounded until she can provide proper paperwork.
