Jun. 6, 2018: The entries below are selections from the Bronxville police blotter.
May 29, 1:04 pm, Kensington Road: A boot was affixed to a parked vehicle rendering it inoperable due to $400 in outstanding parking fines. The vehicle was released later in the day when the fines were satisfied.
May 29, 3:00 pm, Lawrence Hospital: A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the hospital parking lot. The pedestrian refused medical attention; an accident report was completed.
May 30, 12:09 am, Park Avenue: Officers responded to a complaint of a loud party. Upon arrival, officers observed beer cans strewn about the property and observed a 19-year-old Yonkers male packing marijuana into a glass pipe while seated in the backyard. The teen was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a desk appearance ticket pending his next court appearance.
June 1, 5:40 pm, White Plains Road: A 19-year-old Mount Vernon male operating a 1998 Honda was stopped for having tinted windows. While approaching the driver’s window, Police Officer Martin Dentini observed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. When asked about the odor, the driver handed the officer a marijuana cigarette that was on the visor. The driver was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. During the vehicle impound, an inventory search led to the discovery of a plastic baggie also containing marijuana. The male was processed and released with a desk appearance ticket pending his next court appearance.
June 2, 11:20 am, Palmer Avenue: A pedestrian claimed to have been struck by a vehicle that left the scene and then checked herself into the emergency room for complaints of pain. The incident is being investigated. An accident report was completed.
June 3, 2:43 pm, Il Bacio, Park Place: An unknown male stole a leukemia donation box from the cash register counter of the restaurant and fled out of the restaurant on foot. The box contained an unknown amount of cash; the incident is being investigated.
June 3, 3:54 pm: Officers responded to a verbal dispute between family members. No crime was committed. A domestic incident report was completed.
June 4, 7:40 am, Pondfield Road: Police officers provided traffic control assistance to the Eastchester Fire Department as it investigated a fire alarm activation at Value Drugs. EFD Captain Yazzo reported that the alarm was activated due to a system malfunction and cleared the building for occupancy.
