Nov. 21, 2018: The following entries are from the Bronxville police blotter.
November 5, 2018, 4:14 pm, Pondfield Road: There was a two-vehicle accident. There were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
November 5, 2018, 5:20 pm, Hobart Street: A text was received from an unknown number telling the owner to come outside. The caller was identified, and it was deemed to be a friend. No crime was committed.
November 6, 4:19 am, Pondfield Road: A 34-year-old woman of the Bronx was charged with driving while intoxicated after she was stopped for crossing a double yellow line. The woman first failed field sobriety tests and later recorded a blood alcohol content of .17%, which is over two times the legal limit. She was also cited for no seat belt. She was processed and released on $50 bail pending her next court appearance. The 2007 Ford Expedition she was operating was impounded.
November 6, 2018, 10:20 am, Gramatan Court: A resident reported that after returning from being away for more than a month, he discovered the slide plate of his rear door to be damaged. Entry was not made to the residence. No items were reported missing.
November 7, 2018, 7:45 pm, Police Headquarters: A 48-year-old man of Tuckahoe was arrested on a bench warrant and charged with bail jumping (misdemeanor) for failing to appear for a previously scheduled criminal court appearance for driving with a suspended registration in 2014. The man was processed and released pending his next court appearance on December 5 at 6:00 pm.
November 9, 2018, Pondfield Road: There was a suspicious incident that is pending investigation.
November 10, 2018, 2:30 pm, Kraft Avenue: A ring was found by a pedestrian and turned over to police. If anyone lost a ring, they should call the police desk. They will be asked to provide a description and proof of ownership.
November 10, 2018, 9:31 pm, White Plains Road: A 44-year-old woman of the Bronx was charged with suspended registration and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree after she was stopped for an expired inspection certificate. Her 2007 Jeep Cherokee was impounded pending the payment of her outstanding fines.
November 11, 2018, 10:45 pm, Parkway Road: A 28-year-old man of New Rochelle was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree after he was stopped for failing to stop for a stop sign. An inquiry on his license revealed that his license had been revoked on two separate dates for committing the crime of vehicular assault in the 2nd degree and making a false statement on a document for a license plate application. The 2016 Mitsubishi he was operating was impounded. The man was processed and released on $100 bail pending his next court appearance on December 5 at 06:00 pm.
November 12, 2018, 9:09 pm, Sunnybrae Place: A suspicious woman was taking pictures. An investigation revealed her to be an insurance agent updating her file.
November 13, 2018, 12:12 pm, Midland Gardens: An anonymous caller reported a verbal dispute. Two men were interviewed outside the location; they were just speaking loudly.
November 13, 2018, 2:34 pm, Citibank, Pondfield Road: Officers responded to a call from bank management reporting that a male was inside the branch attempting to withdraw funds using a fraudulent driver’s license. Officers arrived on scene and gave chase to the fleeing suspect, who took off on foot down Pondfield Road. The 58-year-old man from Mount Vernon was apprehended about a block away and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree (class D felony) for possessing a fake Connecticut driver’s license and attempting to withdraw $1,200 from an account that did not belong to him. The man was unable to receive bail from the Bronxville Justice Court due to two prior felony convictions. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending his next court appearance on December 5 at 6:00 pm.
