Pet of the Week: Mr. Butters

June 15, 2022: Everything is better with (Mr.) Butters. This stunning two-year old domestic short hair has the perfect blend of marmalade and butter hues. These colors paired with his bright yellow eyes turn every head when this handsome boy walks into a room.
Fun fact: 80 percent of orange-colored cats are male. This is because the “ginger gene” which produces the orange color is on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes, so they need two copies of this gene to become ginger, whereas males only need one.
Mr. Butters would do well in almost any type of living situation. He is wonderful with children, friendly dogs, and other cats. Mr. Butters absolutely loves people and is ready to take on the role of being your friend and confidant.
Personality wise he has been described as a complete ham. When you are near him, he can’t help but bring a smile to your face. Who doesn’t need a bit more happiness in their life!
Healthy, neutered and fully vetted this gregarious ginger cannot wait to find his new family and shower them with love and affection.
