Pet of the Week: Shorty

Jan. 29, 2014: Shorty is a sweet, easygoing, little girl who enjoys nothing more than hanging out with people. She is guessed to be a pug/lhasa apso mix and is approximately four years old.
Shorty is a quiet girl who enjoys eating, cuddling, playing, and going for slow, short walks that involve lots of sniffing. At 30 pounds, she could probably stand to lose a few, but we think she is pretty cute just the way she is.
This amiable girl gets along well with everyone--people, dogs, and cats alike. She is calm and well behaved, and she has no aggressive or destructive tendencies. Shorty is a perfect companion dog. She often gets lonely and is therefore looking for an owner who spends a lot of time at home or who already has a pet in the house to keep her company.
Shorty has two issues that make her "special," but they have not been a problem at all for her foster family. She is deaf, and she has some allergies that are easily controlled through diet. Neither problem requires any additional care, nor do they affect the way she acts on a daily basis.
Everyone should have a buddy to share their lives with. If you (or someone you know) could use a little extra company or a friend to help get you out of the house for leisurely strolls and some daily fresh air, Shorty is exactly what you have been looking for.
