Pet of the Week: Chester
Written by Allison Roesser

Jan. 7, 2015: Chester is a medium-sized two-year-old orange-and-white domestic short-hair kitty.
If you are looking for a cat with the personality of a dog, look no further. When Chester hears his foster mom getting up in the morning, he enthusiastically runs to greet her. He will often follow her around as she goes about her day, and he truly enjoys the simple pleasure of being petted. He is a sweet and loving cat and would do well in most living situations.
When Chester was just a baby, he and another kitten were rescued from a woman who threatened to "dispose of them" on the streets of Yonkers. Both Chester and the other kitty, named Callie, are now living together in foster care. Callie is a large female Calico who is quiet and well mannered. These two lovely felines can be adopted separately or together.
Chester and Callie are in good health, litter-box trained, and up to date with their vaccinations. They are currently under the care of the rescue group Forgotten Felines, Inc., which is based in Valhalla, NY. If you would like to learn more about Chester and Callie, or see other kitties available for adoption, please email forgottenfelinesny@gmail.
Forgotten Felines asks that interested families fill out an adoption application. If you are interested in learning more about the adoption process or would like to request an application, please send an email to
The adoption fee for Chester is $85, which includes two distemper vaccinations, two wormings, feline leukemia/feline aids test, and flea preventative.
