Pet of the Week: Boris

June 29, 2011: It's a bird, it's a plane, it's--Boris. This 2-year-old kitty-cat will zoom past you faster than a speeding bullet.
He may only weigh eight pounds, but he can leap through the air as if he is about to save the world. When his mission is accomplished, he will sprawl out flat on the floor completely maintaining his superman pose--now all he needs is a cape.
Boris looks like a Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest breed, but he is much smaller than a typical cat of those breeds. He does, however, have huge paws.
Boris was found wandering the streets as a stray. He had already been neutered, so he may have once been somebody's pet.
Boris loves people. He likes to play with them and more than anything, he likes to entertain those around him. He has endless routines that are sure to keep any onlookers smiling. He does seem frightened of the dogs he meets (probably from his days on the street). Additionally, we noticed that although he seems quite interested in the cats he sees, he also likes to let it be known that he is King Cat, so it might be best if he finds a house as a single pet.
If you are looking for a superhero to swoop down and save your day or a sweet goofy guy to entertain and snuggle in with you while you watch TV, Boris is your match. All he needs is a kind heart to give him some love and a nice window to look out of during the day. (We think he likes to keep reminding himself that he is now finally inside and safe.)
