Feb. 18, 2026: Meet Camila (Cami). She's a 1–3-year-old Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix looking for the home she's more than earned. She came in as a stray with her litter of pups and is now safe at the rescue and ready for her next adventure.

Cami is a perfect blend of a calm, grounded, resilient, and happy dog who will be more than appreciative of a stable life and loving family.

She is confident and social without being a lot to handle.

When new people arrive, Cami is eager to say hello and make her presence known, but she then relaxes once introductions are made. She loves meeting people, does great with kids, and loves being around other dogs. She forms deep bonds with her people and is naturally loyal, making sure she knows where you are in the house.

Cami is an active and athletic pup who thrives with real daily exercise like playing fetch, hiking, open space to run, and playing around with other dogs. Her foster mom has learned that a trip to the park is the key to her heart. She even loves the water and will jump in with the family, and can swim around for hours. If you're someone who likes to get outside, she'll match your energy and be the perfect adventurous companion.

When the day winds down, she shifts gears completely. She's happiest curled up next to her person, enjoying their company in a more low-key environment, and loves all the attention and pets she can get. She's house-trained and crate-trained, goes into her crate without being asked twice, and travels well in the car.
