May 12, 2021: Westchester Parks Foundation and Westchester County Parks have announced an expanded Bicycle Sundays season for 2021.
The program kicked off on May 2 and continues every Sunday from May through October – except Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Columbus Day weekends. This schedule expands the program from 12 events to 22 for the 2021 season.
The program is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by the Westchester Parks Foundation and its partners through generous donations from co-presenting sponsors Con Edison and NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital. Danny Cycles will return as the exclusive bicycle shop.

Bicycle Sundays is a great way for the entire family to get some exercise, and we are excited to be collaborating with Westchester Parks Foundation and Westchester County Parks on such an innovative and outstanding program."
To help kick off the expanded series, Westchester Parks Foundation and Westchester County Parks Department will promote Bicycle Safety Month this May with online tutorials and safety tips to help promote a safe ride along the 6.5 miles of the Bronx River Parkway.
The annual event welcomes bicyclists, skaters, joggers, and walkers. Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, "Getting outdoors and active has always been good for physical and mental health – and over the past year, we have experienced this more than ever. In 2020, Bicycle Sundays offered residents a rare outlet as activities were limited, and I am thrilled to continue this annual event in an extended capacity."
