Michael and Athena Kerin stand out as exemplary figures in both the medical field and their community, embodying a profound commitment to philanthropy and service.
Michael, a distinguished General Surgeon, has over three decades of experience transforming lives through his surgical practice. His journey began with a strong educational foundation, earning his bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University, followed by a medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School. Born and raised in the Bronx, he returned to New York to complete his surgical training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and begin his practice. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his successful transition from traditional surgery to establishing Kerin MedSpa and Laser Center, where he merges surgical knowledge and techniques with advanced aesthetic treatments. Michael’s dedication extends beyond his practice, as he actively participates in charitable work with non-profit organizations to enhance educational opportunities for the community.
Athena Kerin complements Michael's efforts with her multifaceted background in healthcare and philanthropy. With a Master's in Anesthesia and an MBA from NYU Stern, she has excelled in leadership roles, optimizing anesthesia operations and educating future professionals. Her passion for community service aligns with her commitment to healthcare, as evidenced by medical missions and significant philanthropic contributions.
Together, the Kerins embody a powerful partnership that leverages their skills and experiences to uplift those around them. Their dedication to family, work, and community serves as an inspiring model of how personal and professional endeavors can harmoniously intertwine to create a lasting impact.
Adding to their legacy, Michael and Athena are proud parents of two boys, Agron and Titus, whom they are actively involving in their philanthropic efforts. Organized in 1982, the Bronxville Beautification Council (BBC) is a not-for-profit organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mission of the BBC is to enhance and maintain the natural and man-made beauty of the village of Bronxville, with an emphasis on the downtown business district.

Boulder Ledge Garden Club
Founded in 1966, the Boulder Ledge Garden Club is rooted in a mission to inspire a deeper appreciation and love for gardening and flower arranging. The club is dedicated to fostering and promoting interest and knowledge in gardening.
The Club maintains Bronxville’s Bicentennial Park and other civic gardens. In 2019–2020 the club raised $18,000 to replace trees in the village, reflecting its active role in community beautification. It also holds garden therapy projects and educational garden trips for members.

Bronxville Giving Garden
The Bronxville Giving Garden is a community-centered garden that donates organic produce to Eastchester Community Action Partnership in Tuckahoe and Community Service Associates in Mount Vernon. The garden is also a gathering place where school children and volunteers can discover the joy of tending plants and growing food.

The Bronxville Green Committee is a volunteer organization that is part of the Village of Bronxville. It proposes and implements environmentally sustainable programs in our community.

Bronxville Boy Scouts
The village of Bronxville has a long tradition of scouting. “The troops and packs of Bronxville have maintained the finest scouting organizations and have taught the boys of the Bronxville area to be leaders and outstanding members of the local, national and global communities.”
