Join Bronxville Pack 5: A Year Full of Adventure Awaits!

By Rob Deichert

Oct. 2, 2024: Are you looking for a way to spark your kindergarten to 5th grade son's sense of adventure, build lifelong skills, and have a lot of fun? Look no further than Bronxville Pack 5! We are excited to invite new families to join us for an action-packed year of Cub Scouting, starting with a special event right in our own backyard.

-Kick-Off Recruiting Campout on the Village Hall Lawn – Saturday, September 14th

We're starting the scouting year with a bang! Join Bronxville Pack 5 for an exciting campout on the Village Hall Lawn. Imagine a night under the stars, enjoying campfire fun, and meeting new friends right in the heart of our village. But that's not all—earlier in the day, we'll be teaming up with Bronxville Troop 5 for a community service project, teaching our scouts the value of giving back.

This is the perfect opportunity for new scouts and their families to meet the pack, learn about scouting, and dive into adventure right from the start! Even if you're still wondering, you can join us camping.

What's Coming Up?

The fun doesn't stop with the campout. Here's a preview of some of the exciting events we have planned for this year:

-Monthly Pack Meetings at the Bronxville Scout Cabin - every third Wednesday at 6:30pm.

-Thunderbird Games in October: A day filled with scouting games, teamwork, and outdoor fun!

-Winter Campout at the Intrepid: A once-in-a-lifetime chance to camp overnight aboard the USS Intrepid in New York City.

-Spring Campout: Another great opportunity for scouts to experience the great outdoors as they grow their skills and bond with fellow scouts.

-Pinewood Derby: One of scouting's most beloved traditions! Build, race, and compete with custom-designed pinewood cars in a thrilling competition.

-No Devices: One rule we have is no devices with the cub scouts. We want them to be present at events.

Why Join Cub Scouts?

Cub Scouting is more than just fun and games—it's about learning new skills, making new friends, and discovering the world in an exciting way. Through activities that encourage leadership, teamwork, and outdoor exploration, your child will develop confidence, character, and a strong sense of community.

Get Involved!

Now is the perfect time to join Pack 5. If you're ready to learn more, don't miss our campout on September 14th. Whether your child is new to scouting or has been curious about joining, everyone is welcome.
