Local Covid-19 Report: Cases Falling But Still Over 3,000 Cases in Our Area

Feb. 10, 2021: Below is the local Covid-19 Report for this week.
Local Covid Cases
According to the Westchester County Covid-19 Dashboard, as of February 8, 2021, there were 32 Covid-19 cases in Bronxville, down from a high of 72 cases on January 11. Cases in Bronxville have fallen every week for the past four weeks.
Cases in Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Eastchester and Tuckahoe have fallen two weeks in a row.
These are good trends but it should be noted that there are still over 3,000 cases in Bronxville and nearby towns. The largest concentration of cases is in Yonkers (2,150) and Mount Vernon (667).

Positivity Rates & Hospitalizations
As of February 8, the percent positive rate in New York State was 5.1 percent and in Westchester was 6.8 percent. These are both 7-day rolling averages.
Total hospitalizations in New York State for Covid-19 continued to fall this week. As of February 8, 2021, there were 7,875 hospitalizations in New York State, down from 8,730 hospitalizations last week. Of these hospitalizations, 1,412 were in the ICU.
