March 22, 2026: Laughter, music, and nonstop action filled the Bronxville gym on Sunday, March 14, as the Harlem Wizards returned for another unforgettable performance. A sold-out crowd of elementary school families packed the stands, enjoying the team’s signature blend of high-energy basketball, comedy, and crowd interaction.
Made possible by the Bronxville School Athletic Council, the annual event continues to be a highlight of the school year. Beyond the entertainment, the game serves as one of the Council’s most important fundraisers, supporting its work as a PTA-sponsored, student-run organization dedicated to strengthening the school’s athletic community.
Known for blending basketball with entertainment, the Harlem Wizards have been delighting audiences since 1962. In Bronxville, their annual visit has become a beloved and highly anticipated tradition, dating back to the school’s first Wizards game in 2008.

Each year, the Wizards “compete” against an enthusiastic roster of Bronxville faculty, staff, and students. The event is filled with humor, audience participation, and plenty of seemingly unscripted moments that add to the electric atmosphere. The event gives young fans the chance to enjoy a time they won’t forget while providing Council members with the opportunity to plan and execute one of their most important fundraisers of the year.

Athletic Council co-president Brady Dolan reflected on the impact of the event, sharing, “Being part of the Wizards event is one of the most meaningful experiences we have as Athletic Council leaders. It’s not just about the game—it’s about bringing our whole school community together in a way that’s fun, memorable, and full of energy.”
This year, the Athletic Council is 70 members strong and led by co-presidents Brady Dolan and Kate Outcalt. The students are guided and supported by faculty liaisons Patsy Manganelli and Seamus Coons.
Proceeds from the game support the Bronxville Athletic Council, a PTA-sponsored, student-run organization dedicated to enhancing the school’s athletic community. The Council plays a vital role in organizing and supporting events such as Homecoming, Spirit Weeks, Fan Days, Lax Fest, Sports Awards Nights, the Harlem Wizards game, and community service initiatives. Its mission is to promote Bronxville athletics while fostering school-wide Bronco spirit.

Athletic Council co-president Kate Outcalt shared, “I thought the game went especially well this year. One of the best parts is seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces as they walk in, and watching families come together to enjoy it. It’s a special day for Bronxville.”
The students are also supported by a parent council, led by senior parents Katharine Outcalt and Maggie Sheehan.
With another successful event in the books, Bronxville students are already looking ahead—counting down the days until the Harlem Wizards return to the gym next year.
