Sep. 3, 2014: Concordia College has received a ranking of "distinction" in four categories by the Colleges of Distinction web-based guide for high school juniors and seniors.
The website provides rankings to students seeking a school that is nationally recognized and highly recommended by professionals in the field of education. Colleges and universities are nominated for participation by high school counselors and educators and then evaluated using qualitative and quantitative research.
Concordia College was found to excel in all four categories of student-focused higher education and will be featured on the Colleges of Distinction website. The four categories in which Concordia received distinction are: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities, and successful outcomes.
"We are proud to have been recognized again as a College of Distinction," said Concordia College president Dr. Viji George. "It honors our individualized approach, dedicated faculty, and strong faith-based community which creates the unique Concordia experience that we have provided since 1881."

Bronxville Public Library
The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.
The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.
The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children. All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
