Concordia College Enrollment Shows Dramatic Growth

By North Callahan, Jr., Senior Director of Marketing, Concordia College

Nov. 4, 2015:  With the Concordia College academic year in full swing, the college has experienced dramatic enrollment growth along with the addition of new academic programs.

Overall student enrollment is up 11.5% over last year, and the college has experienced a 33% increase in total enrollment in the last six years. This year's graduate program enrollment is up 113%.

The student population is a diverse group, with 26% of students from out of state and 14% hailing from other countries such as China, India, South Korea, Spain, Norway, and Italy.

Along with this, new master's degree programs have been introduced in accounting, analytics, digital marketing, and digital media, and new online programs in early childhood education, childhood education, and RN to BS are being offered.

This news comes after Concordia College was again named in the Top 40 U.S. News & World Report rankings in the North Regional Best Colleges category. Concordia also earned a ranking of #5 in ethnic diversity among regional colleges in the North.

"We are proud of our growth in recent years, both in terms of the quality and quantity of our academic programs. The future is bright at Concordia College," said Sherry Fraser, provost.

Bronxville Public Library

Bronxville Public Library

The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.

The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.

The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children.  All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
