Nov. 2, 2016: During the first two weeks of November, three wonderful restaurants in Bronxville will offer special menu choices and prices. The restaurants are Rosie's Bistro Italiano and Sammy's Downtown Bistro, both owned by Marco Lojano and Dean Rancanelli and Scalini Osteria, owned by Angelo Di Rosa. Three courses for both lunch and dinner are offered for $20.95 and $29.95, respectively, which excludes beverages, taxes, and gratuity.
ROSIE'S BISTRO ITALIANO 10 Palmer Avenue 914-793-2000
Highlights at lunch: Wild mushroom ravioli in a porcini cognac cream sauce as an appetizer; entree: La Samantha…crispy veal or chicken Milanese with a lemon picatta sauce topped with tomato-mozzarella and balsamic. Dessert: Torta di Cioccolata…warm chocolate espresso cake with mascarpone royale cream and Tahitian vanilla gelato.
Dinner: San Giacomo…puff pastry with shrimp, pancetta, and Cognac cream as an appetizer: Entree: Veal Osso Buco Spezzatino--de-boned veal shank au jus with vegetables with pappardelle. Dessert: Torta di Formaggio…New York-style cheesecake with dark chocolate drizzle and Amarena cherries.
SAMMY’S DOWNTOWN BISTRO 124 Pondfield Road 914-337-3200
Highlights at lunch: Roasted beet & endive salad with crumbled gorgonzola and pecans in a vinaigrette dressing as an appetizer. Entree: Downtown chicken salad--avocado, apples, chick peas, tomato, olives, and pecans in mixed greens. Dessert: Sammy's tiramisu with mascarpone cream and chocolate shavings.
Dinner: For an appetizer: Maryland crab cakes with shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat stuffing over mixed greens, corn relish, and a dijonnaise drizzle. Dinner: Boneless short rib stew--short rib with assorted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Dessert: Gelato or sorbetta du jour.

Highlights: Lunch and dinner: Primi piatti--artichoke soup, crispy prosciutto and parmigiano fritters. Secpmdo piatti: Pumkin gnocci with walnut pesto and pumkin seeds. Dessert: Carrot cake, pumpkin gelato, and Nutella mousse.
