Oct. 30, 2024: For the first time in Bronxville school history, the Broncos galloped through their competition to an undefeated regular season in Section I Class B, with a 34-0 home game victory over Edgemont. The Bronco’s stalwart defense held the opponent scoreless for the fourth time this season.
On the season, the Broncos out-scored opponents by a cumulative score of 202 to 33. In the Edgemont game, the Broncos were led by standout running back senior Davis Patterson who had two touchdowns in the game padding his total of 12 touchdowns on the season.

While the Broncos are currently led by a strong group of 18 senior boys, the future is bright with several sophomores and juniors contributing to the Broncos’ success, including sophomore quarterback Theo McMurray, junior cornerback Brian Formato, junior tight end and defensive end Walker Moore, junior cornerback Thomas Freeman, and junior nose tackle Harry “The Rock” Estrada, who reportedly bench presses 310 pounds.

The Broncos are looking to repeat as Section I Class B champs but will face some strong competition in the next three weeks with an eight-team playoff.
The seeding for the Class B Sectional Playoffs is as follows: No. 1 Westlake (7-0), No. 2 Bronxville (7-0), No. 3 Pearl River (7-1), No. 4 Pleasantville (3-4), No. 5 Byram Hills (6-2), No. 6 Ardsley (3-4), No. 7 Rye Neck (4-3) and No. 8 Nanuet (3-4).
Please come out to support your Broncos during their playoff run as their No. 2 seeding provides them with homefield advantage (as well as Tom Curran’s mostly entertaining in-game commentary) for the first two weeks of the playoffs.
The Bronco will play in the Sectional Quarterfinals this Saturday November 2nd at 2pm versus the Rye Neck Panthers. If the Broncos prevail, they will face the winner of the Pearl River/Ardsley matchup the following week at home on November 9th. The Class C Sectional Championship Finals will take place at Mahopac High School on November 16th.
Go Broncos.
