You're in luck! The Village of Bronxville has a strong racquets program that includes lessons and clinics in tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis, all managed by an experienced team of pros from Elite Racquet Solutions.

Kick-off Party! The team will have a free fun kickoff party this Saturday, April 11th at the Bronxville tennis courts from 10AM to 1:30PM (10am pickleball for 1.5hr, and 12pm tennis for 1.5hr). No reservation needed.  Just show up at the courts!

Philosophy of this Team: The overall philosophy of this team is to be "high energy," make the experience and skills "fun & learnable," and "adjust to the customer needs." 

Programs: Their programs will cater to all ages and levels.  Offerings will include individual lessons, junior programs, clinics for ladies and men, and other specialized offerings depending on the needs of the community.

Information about the coaches.

Head Racquets Professional and Coach Flavio Carretero is originally from Madrid. He played collegiate tennis at the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina which has a NCAA Division II tennis team.  

Coach Pablo Numbela is an experienced coach and current Director at County Tennis Club.

Coach Lorenzo Montegiorgi is a former Italian National Junior Team player and collegiate standout at Concordia College.

Coach Juan Cruz Scoppetta is a USPTA-certified pro with international coaching experience in tennis, padel, and pickleball. Among other things, Juan runs a pickleball program at the Bronxville Adult School which has a strong and enthusiastic following.

These professionals offer a wide range of programs for tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis for both adults and juniors, providing opportunities to learn, play, and compete throughout the year

Lake Isle is an Eastchester Town-owned facility that is open to all residents and a limited number of non residents. Sprain Lake Golf Course was also designed by Tom Winton. It is characterized by “small greens, rolling terrain and a number of highly challenging holes, with an abundance of water hazards and difficult shots.” All 18 tees have been renovated and expanded and the 10th and 13th greens have been upgraded. The YWCA Middles Swim Team is a “fully sanctioned YWCA and USA Swimming program. It involves a year round commitment on the part of the swimmer including participation in meets.” They offer four levels of professional instruction and training for swimmers six years and older. Over the past 21 years, they have had swimmers “qualify and swim in the Olympics, US Olympic Trials, the Olympic Festival, USA Nationals, US Open, National Junior Championships, Regionals and Zones and have attained many Top 8 finishes.” Additionally, “the Middies have won the YWCA National Championships for the past 20 consecutive years and now hold many individual and relay records.”
