Pet of the Week: Shyla

By Allison Roesser
Nov. 25, 2015: Shyla is an adorable eight-month-old 30-pound Aussie/border collie puppy.
This super-happy girl enjoys going to the dog park and playing with her neighborhood buddies. Not only is Shyla absolutely stunning, she is beyond sweet, incredibly smart, and totally housebroken.
Don't let Shyla's hearing impairment stop you from considering her. This amazing girl would make a wonderful companion or family pet. She is a total joy to be around and often does a happy dance when she meets new friends.
Shyla loves to run around and play and would probably do best in a home with another dog to keep her company. If you would like to see a video of her socializing at the dog park, please click the following link: http://on.fb.me/1QXK21Y.
Shyla is in excellent health, has been spayed, and is up to date with her vaccinations. For more information or to meet her, please fill out an application on the Pet Rescue website at www.NY-Petrescue.org.
Pet Rescue asks that all potential adopters fill out an adoption application prior to meeting with the dogs and cats in their care. To expedite the process, please note that you learned about Shyla through MyhometownBronxville.
Pet Rescue has many dogs and cats in need of homes. Even if you are not ready to adopt, please still consider filling out an application. The website is updated daily and some of the animals featured, especially the puppies, can be adopted very quickly. Becoming pre-approved can help ensure that you have a better chance of being matched with your first-choice dog or cat. Information on becoming a foster family is also available on the site.
