Special Garden Tour of Local Homes to Be Held Sunday, June 8, Sponsored by Bronxville Beautification Council

Jun. 4, 2014:  The Bronxville Beautification Council will, once again, open the garden gates to some of the village's most beautiful outdoor spaces on Sunday, June 8, from noon to 4:00 pm.

This year, in celebration of Eastchester's 350th anniversary, the garden tour will include properties in Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe. Transportation between houses will be available, courtesy of the Tuckahoe Trolley.

The tour will feature a wide variety of gardening styles and inventive garden designs. Following the tour, there will be a wine-and-cheese party in one of the local gardens.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Savanna at Home, Mrs. Morgan's Flower Shop, Womrath Bookshop, Tryforos and Pernice Florists, Kensington Paper, and The Silk Road.

On the day of the tour, tickets and maps will be available at Bronxville Village Hall beginning at 11:30 am.

Proceeds from the garden tour are reinvested in Bronxville Beautification Council projects, such as the ongoing restoration of the village train station plaza and the area in front of the Bronxville Post Office.

The council is also behind the beautiful work at the Fountain Oval, the annual plantings throughout the village, floral baskets in the central business district, and maintenance of the green spaces that give our village its unique and charming character.
