Oct. 31, 2023: Have you noticed the black box pictured above at the corner of Midland Avenue and Pondfield Road near the Reformed Church in Bronxville?
This is the new traffic signal box at this intersection. Bronxville Village Administrator, Jim Palmer, explained that the previous signal box was silver and the same size and was situated on the Bronxville School side of the street. It was removed a few weeks ago.
These boxes include the electrical, switching, and motherboards for signal timing and operation.
