New Pop-up Vaccination Sites

Yesterday, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that there were 45 new #VaxForKids pop-up vaccination sites to increase vaccination rates among children and adolescents.

“The best way to keep our children safe is to make sure they’re vaccinated,” said Governor Hochul. “If you’re a parent that has hesitated to get your child vaccinated, now is the time. More than 1.5 million children are already vaccinated in New York State, which has been a critical tool for keeping our schools open, so sign your children who are 5 years or older up for their shot today.”

The full list of #VaxForKids sites is available here.

Testing

You can now get free COVID-19 test kits from the government.  There is currently a limit of 4 test kits per household.  Here is the link to order your kits.  https://www.covidtests.gov/

COVID-19 testing is also available at local pharmacies.  There is a CVS testing facility in Chester Heights.  They require appointments which can be made on their covid page on cvs.com.
