Pets of the Week: Guinea Pigs George and Theo

By Allison Roesser

June 9, 2021: George and Theo are two young guinea pig boys looking for their forever home/s. Both are loving and friendly. Unfortunately, they were rescued from poor conditions and are now with a foster mom who has quickly come to realize that they have not bonded and should probably not be living in the same cage.

This is quite common with male guinea pigs and has led their foster mom to put up a transparent barrier in the cage so they can see each other, have one another's company, but don't have to physically interact. An experienced guinea pig owner may be able to help them bond so they can be adopted together; otherwise, they are looking for two separate homes.

George is orange and white and loves to have his chin rubbed. He will happily climb into your neck for kisses and cuddles. Theo is brown and white and loves to be carried around, have his head scratched, and his favorite snack is carrots. Both are gentle and affectionate. They enjoy being around people and would make for excellent family pets.

Both piggies will come with their own cages and supplies if needed. For more information, please text Jody at 917-678-0991 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
