Seven Vehicles Stolen in Bronxville in January

By Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale

Feb. 9, 2022: The monthly report of crime statistics for January 2022 has been uploaded to our website - bronxvillepd.com.

You will notice a sharp increase in motor vehicle thefts. Seven vehicles were stolen in January compared to nine stolen for the entire year 2021. All seven of the vehicles stolen in January were unlocked with the key fob left inside the vehicle.

The Police Department continues active patrols and has performed numerous traffic stops of suspects throughout the month. Several of these stops resulted in the vehicles fleeing the Officer at a high rate of speed.

The increase in crime is occurring throughout Westchester County. The January crimes were all preventable – we need your help – please lock your vehicle at all times and remove the keys/key fob. Do not leave any valuables in plain sight within the vehicle. If you see or hear any suspicious activity – especially overnight – please call 911 immediately so we can investigate.
