Spotlight on Elaina Poulos, Local Greek-American Singer

Jan. 10, 2024: Elaina Poulos, a Bronxville Greek-American singer, is a talented and accomplished young lady. In fact, she just released her first single from Heaven Records, a well-known Greek record label.

Elaina's song is a Greek ballad titled "I Agapi Ine Pantou," which means "Love is Everywhere." Andreas Lambrou, the renowned Greek songwriter and composer, helped bring Elaina's song to fruition.

Elaina is proud of her heritage and is passionate about singing in Greek.

She started singing at age ten and joined her church's junior choir. She performed in many Bronxville School musicals and is a currently a Junior at Fordham University. Elaina is majoring in political science and history and plans to study Law.

Elaina's singing career began with lessons at age 13 at Concordia Conservatory. For the past two years, she has also been taking Greek voice lessons virtually and also takes three hours of Greek language lessons per week.  Upcoming performances will be at Jimbos Greek Restaurant in Astoria, Queens on Wednesday and Thursday nights until mid-January.

When not singing and performing, Elaina tutors her peers in Spanish and history at Fordham and helps with University social events.

Elaina owns a summer house in Nafpaktos, Greece, where her maternal grandparents live. In 2020, she came in 4th Place in the Miss Greek Independence Pageant in Astoria.
