Genealogist Kari Weis to Speak at Anne Hutchinson DAR meeting, Saturday, October 22

Oct. 19, 2016:  Kari Weis, a volunteer genealogist for the New York State Daughters of the American Revolution ("DAR"), will speak at a meeting of the Anne Hutchinson Chapter of the DAR on Saturday, October 22, at 1:00 pm in the Yeager Room of the Bronxville Public Library. The meeting is open to the public.

She will speak on researching your family tree.

Ms. Weis began her career as a television and theater actress before becoming a teacher and reading specialist in New York City and Palo Alto, California.

In 2001, Kari began researching her own family tree and has been hooked ever since. She is an active member and registrar for her local chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).

She is also a DAR New York State volunteer genealogist and a member of the Westchester County Genealogical Society. She has served as founding president of the alumni association for her alma mater, Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, traveled to Kenya for humanitarian work, and volunteered at the Chappaqua Library.

While raising three children with her husband, Ed, Kari also works as a professional genealogist.
