On July 3, 2020, at 7:15 PM, Bronxville Chief of Police, Christopher Satriale, sent out a voice message.

It this message, he said that the police department had received reports of at least four new positive cases of COVID-19 in the village of Bronxville. All are teenagers or young adults. One of the teens was recently at a high school graduation party at a home in the village. He noted that asymptomatic people are still shedding the virus.

He also said that the police had responded to ten calls on Friday alone about youths that are gathering throughout the village and are not social distancing or wearing face coverings

He urged people to be responsible. "This is not the time for graduation or 4th of July parties," he said because it is impossible to maintain social distancing at these gatherings.

Finally, he urged parents to limit their childrens' activities to essential trips and stress the importance of face coverings, hand washing, and social distancing when they must go out.
