Wednesday, November 16
:  The movie Hello, My Name is Doris will be screened at the Bronxville Public Library at 1:30 pm. It is rated R and runs for 95 minutes. For more information, go to www.bronxvillelibrary.org.

Thursday, November 17:  There will be a regular meeting of the Bronxville Board of Education at 7:00 pm in the multipurpose room of The Bronxville School. For more information, go to http://www.bronxvilleschool.org/.

Thursday, November 17:  OSilas Gallery, on the campus of Concordia College, will hold an opening reception at 7:00 pm for the exhibition Partners: Reform & Revolution, created through a collaboration of students with special needs from Eastchester and Tuckahoe high schools, their peers, their art teachers, and students from Concordia's education department. Thursday, November 17:  The Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a fire board meeting, with the public session beginning at approximately 7:50 pm in the public meeting room of Bronxville Village Hall. For more information, call 914-793-6402.

Thursday and Friday, November 17 and 18:  Concordia Conservatory will be presenting music and literature programs titled "Musical Adventures at the Library with Concordia Conservatory" on Thursday at the Eastchester Library at 1:30 pm and at the Bronxville Library at 4:00 pm and on Friday at the Tuckahoe Library at 11:00 am. The program features books and music celebrating the public servants in our community and is for children from pre-school to early elementary school and their families. All performances in the series are free and open to the public. For more information, call the conservatory office at 914-395-4507.

Friday, November 18:  Sarah Lawrence College professor David Peritz will give a lecture titled "The Power of Populism in Today's Politics" from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the Wrexham Hall living room. Coffee and conversation will follow. The lecture is open only to the Friends of the Sarah Lawrence College Library--membership can be purchased at the event. Saturday, November 19:  The Bronxville Green Committee will host its semi-annual "Take-Back Day" from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm behind Bronxville Village Hall on Palumbo Place. The following will be accepted for recycling:  two boxes of paper per car; furniture; blankets, sheets, and towels for the Yonkers Animal Shelter; and e-waste (computers, TVs, stereos, VCRs, copiers, and fax machines). For more information, contact  CLOAKING  or the Bronxville Department of Public Works at 914-337-7338.

Sunday, November 20:  The Reformed Church of Bronxville will present Duruflé's Requiem, featuring the church's chancel choir and guest choristers from surrounding communities conducted by Dr. Sándor Szabó, minister of music at the church, at 3:00 pm. The program will also include Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by Dr. Szabó.

Tuesday, November 22:  There will be a webinar at the Bronxville Public Library titled "College Admissions Webinar: Essential Tactics & Skills" from 8:00 to 9:00 pm.
