March 27, 2024: As the rain poured down in Bronxville on March 23rd, the hill leading down Prescott Avenue to Avon Road was like a river.
Mayor Mary Marvin commented that "this was actually a good thing because, since the water gushed down Prescott, it didn't end up in homeowner basements." She further said, "It is supposed to go right down the streets, stay out of basements and sidewalks, and then seek the lowest level, which is the Midland Valley drainage basin, where it ultimately ends up being handled by the school pump."
