Feb. 28, 2024: Take a trip to NH 44 Indian in Hartsdale to savor the flavorful food and enjoy a special culinary experience.
The owner, Jeevan Pullan, and Chef, Roshan Balan, have created a menu that showcases modern interpretations of culturally important classics and popular flavors of Indian roadside food.
We started our culinary journey with Halka Phulka (Small Bites) with Kung Fu Gobi, a delicious textured cauliflower with onion and tangy garlic sauce. We then enjoyed Jinga Malai Marke, skewed jumbo shrimp with onion and bell peppers.
Our entrees included Kozhi Chettinad from southern India, a pepper chicken curry with a spicy kick, and Rogan Josh from Kashmir, a tasty Highway Lamb Curry.
To accompany our spicy dishes, we had delicious Garlic Naan with Cucumber Raita, which was creamy and cooling to the palate.
Our dessert was Ghud Kulfi, a delicious and refreshing coconut popsicle from Delhi.
The cordial and knowledgeable Manager, Ramesh Gujar, was accommodating in assisting us with what dishes to order, and our waiter, Tushar, gave us perfect service.
Select wines and premium beers are offered to go with your meal.
The interior of NH 44, designed by Thida Kongthai, is fun and funky, with colorful murals.
