Pet of the Week: Tuxedo Tom

By Natalia Thiessen

Jan. 17, 2024: Meet Tuxedo Tom, the charismatic feline who is also known as Tom the Train or Tom the Tank.

Tom has a beautiful Tuxedo coat and a robust build reminiscent of a bulldog, making him a unique cat. Despite his imposing appearance, this 2 to 3-year-old cat is a gentle giant. He can be shy sometimes, especially around other cats, but he loves being around his favorite people.

Tom is fully vaccinated, FIV positive, and has an adorable chip in his left ear from his TNR days and a mysterious nibble on his right, making him the most unique of cats.

He loves to be the center of attention, favoring petting sessions over treats, so he is ideally suited for a home with people willing to give him lots of love and attention.

Tom might thrive best as the sole cat, given his tendency to be reserved around other cats. While it is unknown how he will get along with dogs, Tom is a mellow cat, so he would likely get along with a calmer pup.

He would love a forever home with lots of love and cuddles, a needed change from his previous outdoor life.
