By Karen Talbot

July 12, 2023: If you like lobster and other food items from Maine, then you have to check out a Cousins Maine Lobster Truck!  (917-341-0306, Home | Cousins Maine LobsterThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

In 2012, cousins Jimmy and Sabin from Portland launched their first food truck in Los Angeles, and in 2016, they appeared on ABC'S "Shark Tank," where Barbara Corcoran became their mentor and supporter.

Today they have 42 trucks in 13 cities nationwide and 7 Brick-and-Mortar Restaurants. In addition, their shore-to-door business allows customers to order lobster and other authentic food items from their facility in Portland, Maine. They will ship Live Lobsters, Lobster Meat, Lobster Cakes, Crab Cakes, Steak and Shrimp to your door. Family recipes are used for their Lobster Pot Pie and Lobster Mac and Cheese.

Since I am from Massachusetts and love everything about lobster, I decided to check it out for myself. You can go to Cousinsmainelobster.com to see all of their locations and schedules.

I found one over the 4th of July weekend in Tarrytown at Pierson Park.

My husband and I ordered two Lobster Rolls for $23 each filled with sweet, tender, and succulent lobster meat with just a touch of mayonnaise on a New England roll.

You can also order a Connecticut-style Lobster Roll served warm with butter and lemon. Their Clam Chowder is the perfect blend of clams, potato, and onion and costs $6 for a cup and $10 for a bowl.

We also bought yummy Lobster Tacos for dinner the next night that were filled with chunks of lobster with shredded cabbage, chopped tomato, and green pepper, pico de gallo, and cilantro lime sauce.
