By Wendy Halley, Chair of the Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee
April 12, 2023: The Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee (“NPC”) has announced that it has nominated two candidates, Sara Kenny and Christina Skinner, for the upcoming election of Bronxville School trustees.
The NPC will host a "candidate meet-and-greet" reception on Wednesday April 19th, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Bronxville Field Club (40 Locust Lane, Mount Vernon, NY).
All Bronxville residents are welcome and are urged to attend this informal gathering at which the two candidates, Sara Kenny and Christina Skinner, will be available to answer questions from the community. Both candidates bring excellent qualities and experience that would greatly benefit our school board. We hope that community members will take advantage of this opportunity to meet them.
The annual school budget vote and school board trustee election will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Further details about the election, including how to vote by absentee ballot, is available on the District website: https://www.bronxvilleschool.org/board-of-education
The NPC Nomination Process
The selection of Sara and Christina represents the culmination of a process that began in September 2022 that included: i) collecting feedback from the community, as well as current and former Trustees to understand the needs of the School Board, ii) a thorough vetting process of each of the applicant and iii) reviewing community feedback on all the applicants. We want to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to our applicants who raised their hands to serve our community in this nominating cycle. We also want to thank the many individuals who sent us input on the applicants.
With the NPC’s support, Sara and Christina will be placed on the ballot for the district-wide election taking place Tuesday, May 16, 2023. To learn more about the NPC and its process, please visit our website at www.bronxvillenpc.org or email us at this email.
